1About Bizlinka

Bizlinka is a marketplace and community platform that helps people in Nigeria discover businesses, buy products, book services, attend events, and connect with vendors. Unless we say otherwise in writing, Bizlinka provides the platform only—we are not the seller of items listed by independent businesses and we are not a party to contracts between buyers and sellers.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use Bizlinka. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform complies with applicable laws in Nigeria and any other place where you access the service.

3Your account

Keep your login details confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by anyone you allow to use it.

4Buyers

When you purchase products, services, or tickets, you enter an agreement with the selling business (and, where applicable, event organiser), not with Bizlinka as seller. Review listings carefully, including price, variants, delivery or service terms, and any seller-specific return policy shown on the listing.

Pay only through Bizlinka checkout unless we explicitly offer another approved method. Paying outside the platform removes escrow and dispute protections we describe in our Help Centre.

5Sellers and businesses

If you list products, services, or events, you represent that you have the right to sell what you offer, that listings are accurate, and that you will fulfil orders in a timely and professional manner. You must comply with consumer protection, tax, licensing, and other laws that apply to your business.

We may review business profiles and listings. Approval or a verified badge indicates that we have completed certain checks—it is not a guarantee of every transaction or listing.

6Payments

Payments are processed through Paystack and related payment partners. Card and bank details are handled by those providers according to their terms and security standards. Bizlinka may charge platform or transaction fees as disclosed at checkout or in seller materials.

Sellers pay a commission on each order (8% of the item price under ₦10,000, 5% from ₦10,000). The commission is never less than the payment processor's fee on the order total, delivery included (1.5% + ₦100, the ₦100 waived on orders under ₦2,500, capped at ₦2,000); when that fee is higher it applies as a minimum fee, shared across sellers in proportion to their part of the order. This applies whether the buyer pays by card, bank transfer, or Bizlinka wallet.

All prices and charges are shown in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise. Failed or reversed payments may result in cancelled orders or suspended access to certain features.

7Escrow, delivery, and disputes

For eligible purchases, buyer payments are held in escrow. When the buyer confirms receipt, that seller's share is released, but never sooner than 72 hours after payment. If the buyer neither confirms nor raises a dispute, the share is released automatically at the next weekly payout run once 7 days have passed since the seller marked it shipped or ready for pickup. Each seller sets their own delivery fees, delivery times and handling time; a seller who has not shipped by the ship-by date can be cancelled by the buyer for a full refund, and is cancelled and refunded automatically if still unshipped two business days later. Sellers receive funds according to that flow when no dispute is open.

If there is a problem, raise a dispute from Dashboard → Orders (or report a service issue from Dashboard → Jobs). Only one dispute applies per order. While a dispute is open, escrow stays held until Bizlinka staff review the case. Outcomes are applied through the platform: a refund to the card or account you paid with where possible (otherwise a credit to your Bizlinka wallet), or release to the seller's wallet. They are not an automatic reversal with your card issuer. Contact support@bizlinka.com if you need help. We do not guarantee a particular outcome.

8Events and tickets

Event organisers are responsible for event details, capacity, and the event itself. Ticket terms shown on the event page form part of your agreement with the organiser. Ticket payments are held in escrow and released to the organiser only after the event has ended (plus 48 hours). If an event is cancelled, Bizlinka voids its tickets and refunds every buyer (to the original payment method where possible, otherwise to the Bizlinka wallet). Bizlinka is not liable for changes or postponements made by organisers except where required by law.

9Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Post false, misleading, infringing, or illegal content
  • Harass others, spam, or attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings
  • Circumvent fees, escrow, or security features
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the platform without permission
  • Use Bizlinka for fraud, money laundering, or sale of prohibited goods or services

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or report activity to authorities when we believe these Terms or the law have been violated.

10Content and intellectual property

Bizlinka and its branding, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights in content you upload, but you grant Bizlinka a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and promote that content on the platform for operating and marketing the service.

11Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bizlinka disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, or the conduct of any user or third party.

12Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Bizlinka and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Bizlinka in the twelve months before the claim or five thousand Nigerian Naira (₦5,000), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

13Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. For material changes, we may also notify you by email or in-app notice where appropriate.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be submitted to the competent courts in Nigeria, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
